Place the Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial in an ice bucket filled with a 50/50 mixture of ice and cold water for 20–30 minutes until it reaches about 7–9°C (45–48°F). Alternatively, refrigerate upright for at least 3–4 hours before serving.

Select clean, dry champagne flutes (best for maintaining bubbles) or white wine glasses (if you prefer more aroma).

If using a lemon twist or orange peel, cut a thin strip of peel and twist over the glass to release oils, then set aside. If using a strawberry, hull it and make a small slit at the base so it can perch on the rim.

Tilt the flute about 45 degrees and pour slowly to preserve effervescence. Fill each flute about two-thirds full (roughly 100–125 ml per glass for a standard 750 ml bottle, serving 6–7; if serving 4, pour about 150–180 ml each).

Garnish each glass with the prepared lemon/orange twist by resting it on the rim or dropping the twist into the flute to impart a subtle citrus aroma. Alternatively, place a hulled strawberry on the rim for a touch of color and light fruit character.

Serve immediately while the Champagne is cold and the bubbles are lively. Keep the bottle chilled in the ice bucket on the table for top-ups.

If you have leftover Champagne, reseal with a Champagne stopper and store upright in the refrigerator. Consume within 1–3 days for best effervescence; expect gradual loss of bubbles after the first day.
