OLD FASHIONED

Place the bottle of Marco Bonfante Moscato in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours prior to serving. Ideal serving temperature for Moscato is 6–8°C (43–46°F). If short on time, place the bottle in an ice bucket filled with equal parts ice and water for 20–30 minutes until chilled.

Select chilled white wine glasses or small stemmed glasses. If desired, chill glasses in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before serving.

If serving casually and you prefer the Moscato extra-cold, add 2–4 ice cubes to each glass. Note: ice will dilute the wine as it melts and is not traditional for fine wine service.

If using a lemon slice or mint, rinse and pat dry. Lightly clap the mint between your hands to release aroma; set aside.

Remove the foil capsule and wipe the top of the bottle with a clean cloth. Use a corkscrew to carefully remove the cork. If the bottle has a screwcap, twist it off and wipe the rim.

Tilt the glass slightly and pour the Moscato gently to a level of about one-third of the glass (approximately 120–150 ml), leaving space for the wine's aromas to develop.

If serving multiple guests, pour a small amount into each glass then top up to even levels so each guest receives an equal pour.

If desired, rest a lemon slice on the rim of the glass or float it in the wine for a subtle citrus accent. Add the mint sprig to the glass or serve it alongside as a fragrant complement.

Present the bottle at the table for guests to see the label. Enjoy the Moscato by sipping slowly to appreciate its floral aromatics, sweetness, and light effervescence (if present).

Recork the bottle or use a wine stopper and refrigerate any leftover Moscato. Consume within 3–5 days for best flavor; sweeter wines like Moscato generally keep better than dry whites once opened.
