Fit Turkey Wrap

A full-bodied beer naturally sweetened with Arkansas honey for a smooth, creamy complexity. Notes of toasted bread and hints of caramel.

In a large brew kettle, heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Munich Malt, and Chocolate Malt to the water. Stir well and maintain the temperature at 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mash the Grains

After the mashing period, sparge the grains with hot water to collect the wort. The final volume of wort should be around 5 gallons.

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add the Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes.

With 15 minutes left in the boil, add the Saaz hops to the wort.

In the last 5 minutes of the boil, stir in the Arkansas honey until fully dissolved.

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermenter. Top up with water to reach a total of 5 gallons.

Transfer to Fermenter

Sprinkle the ale yeast on top of the wort in the fermenter. Seal and attach an airlock.

Pitch the Yeast

After fermentation (about 1-2 weeks), siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving about an inch of headspace.

Bottle the Beer

Cap the bottles and let them condition at room temperature for another 1-2 weeks.
