Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare CBD
If using a CBD oil/tincture in dropper form, measure the desired dose (example here: 10 mg). Make sure the CBD product is food-grade and intended for oral consumption. If the CBD is thick, warm the bottle slightly in warm water to make dispensing easier.
- 2
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Bombay Sapphire gin, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur, 0.5 oz Trip Mint syrup, and the measured CBD dose. Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker (about 1 cup).
- 3
Shake
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold and well-chilled. Vigorous shaking ensures the CBD integrates and the mixture dilutes appropriately.
- 4
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or rocks glass over fresh ice (if serving on the rocks) using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and mint bits from the syrup.
- 5
Optional top
If you prefer a lighter, slightly effervescent drink, top with about 1.5 oz (a splash) of soda water. Gently stir once to marry.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Express a lime twist over the drink to release citrus oils, then rub the twist or a lime wheel around the glass rim if desired. Slap the mint sprig briefly between your palms to wake the aromatics and place it on top of the drink as a garnish.
- 7
Serve immediately. Advise guests about CBD content and responsible consumption. Store any unused CBD tincture per product instructions.
