Method

Cocktail Base

1

Make honey syrup (if needed)

If you don't have honey syrup ready, combine equal parts honey and hot water (by volume) and stir until fully blended and slightly cooled. Use 0.5 oz of this syrup for one cocktail.

2

Add 3 oz Beefeater gin, 0.5 oz fresh orange juice, 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice and 0.5 oz honey syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

Assemble & Serve

4

Strain the shaken mixture into a chilled Collins glass or large coupe half-filled with fresh ice (or no ice if using coupe), leaving room for prosecco.

5

Top gently with 3 oz chilled prosecco. Pour slowly down the side to preserve carbonation and create a layered fizz.

6

Garnish with an orange wheel on the rim and a lemon twist expressed over the drink (twist the peel to release oils, then drop or hook on the glass).

7

Serve immediately with a cocktail stirrer or straw. Optional: stir once gently before drinking to integrate prosecco and base.
