Cocktail

2 oz Absolut Vodka1/2 oz Fresh lime juice1/2 oz Simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)1/4 oz Orange liqueur (Cointreau or triple sec)6 cubes Ice (for shaking)

Garnish

1 to taste Lime wheel or twist

Method

Cocktail

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

Measure and add

Into a cocktail shaker, pour 2 oz Absolut Vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 0.25 oz orange liqueur.

Add ice and shake

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

Strain

Dump the ice or remove the ice water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch any small ice shards or pulp.

Garnish & Serve

Express the oils from a lime peel over the drink or place a lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately.
