Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare and combine
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour in 2 oz Longfellow blanco tequila, 0.5 oz Mezcal Legendario, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz fresh pink grapefruit juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup.
- 2
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the mixture properly.
- 3
Strain over ice
Fill a highball glass or Collins glass with fresh ice. Double-strain the shaken cocktail into the glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp.
- 4
- 5
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or a long grapefruit twist and, if desired, a lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately.
- 6
Notes
Adjust agave to taste — use 0.25–0.75 oz depending on grapefruit sweetness. If you prefer more smoke, increase Mezcal Legendario up to 0.75 oz and reduce tequila accordingly. Use freshly squeezed citrus for best balance.
