1

Prepare glass

Chill a tall (collins) glass briefly by filling it with ice and cold water, then discard the water just before assembling the drink.

2

Build the drink

In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add ice cubes, 2 oz vodka, 5 oz Lovejoy Bloody Mix, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 3 dashes hot sauce, 0.5 tsp horseradish, 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper and 0.5 tsp celery salt.

3

Mix

Stir the mixture briskly for 15–20 seconds (or roll between two mixing glasses) to chill and slightly dilute. Avoid vigorous shaking if you want to keep the mix texture.

4

Serve

Fill the chilled serving glass with fresh ice. Strain the mixed Bloody Mary into the glass over the ice.

5

Garnish

Place a fresh celery stalk in the glass and add a lime wedge on the rim.

6

Freehouse chaser

Pour 2 oz of the freehouse chaser into a small shot glass or small side car and serve it alongside the Bloody Mary for the guest to sip between sips of the cocktail.

7

Adjust to taste

Taste and adjust heat, saltiness, or acidity as desired by adding extra hot sauce, celery salt, Worcestershire, or a squeeze of lime.
