Directions

1

Prepare the Haricot Vert

Trim the ends of the haricot vert and rinse them under cold water.

2

Blanch the Beans

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the haricot vert and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Drain again and set aside.

3

Toast the Almonds

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced almonds and toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the almonds from the skillet and set aside.

4

Sauté the Haricot Vert

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the blanched haricot vert, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until heated through.

5

Finish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle the toasted almonds over the sautéed haricot vert, and serve immediately.
