Refrigerate the Peroni until well chilled (ideally 3–4°C / 37–39°F). Remove from fridge just before serving.

Chill beer

If the room is very warm and you prefer the beer extra cold, place 4 ice cubes in the glass. Note: adding ice will dilute the beer as it melts and slightly alter flavor; use only if desired.

Rinse the glass briefly with cold water and drain. A slightly wet glass helps produce a better head and keeps the beer colder longer.

Hold the glass at a 45° angle and begin pouring Peroni gently down the side of the glass. When the glass is about two-thirds full, tilt it upright and finish pouring into the center to create a modest 1–1.5 cm (0.4–0.6 in) head of foam.

If you added ice, allow a moment for the beer to settle; top up gently if necessary to maintain the recommended head.

Optional: Run a lemon wedge quickly around the rim of the glass or briefly squeeze a small drop into the beer for a bright citrus note. Serve immediately.
