Base

Optional brightenings

Method

Prepare glass

1

Chill and rim (optional)

Place a corona-style longneck bottle or a narrow pint glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to chill. If you want a salted rim, rub the lime wedge around the bottle neck or glass rim, then roll the wet rim in coarse salt to lightly coat.

Build the drink

2

Remove the chilled bottle or glass from the freezer. If using a glass, fill it with ice if desired (traditional Corona is served without ice; use ice only if you prefer a colder, more diluted drink).

3

If using the optional brightenings, add 1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice and 1/2 teaspoon agave or simple syrup to the glass (or pour into the mouth of the bottle carefully). These enhance the non-alcoholic lager's flavor but are not required.

4

Slowly pour 12 oz chilled non-alcoholic pale lager into the glass. If serving from a bottle, simply open the bottle and serve as-is; pour gently to preserve carbonation if you prefer it in a glass.

5

Garnish with the lime wedge: either place the wedge on the rim or squeeze it into the beer just before drinking to add brightness.

Serve

6

Serve immediately while cold. Encourage the drinker to squeeze the lime into the bottle or glass to taste. If salted rim was used, sip from the salted edge for contrast.
