Method

Preparation

1

In a large pitcher, combine the dry red wine (750 ml), brandy (120 ml), orange liqueur (60 ml), and simple syrup (30 ml). Stir until well mixed.

2

Add the sliced oranges, lemons, limes, apple, and strawberries to the pitcher. Gently muddle or press with a spoon to release some juice without turning the fruit to mush.

3

Pour in the orange juice (240 ml) and stir to combine.

4

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 24 hours, to let flavors meld.

Finish and serve

5

Just before serving, stir in the club soda (500 ml) for fizz. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired with a little more simple syrup.

6

To serve: fill glasses with ice and pour sangria over the ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of orange and strawberry or additional fruit if desired.
