White Tea Blend
Measure and combine
Add 4 tsp jasmine silver needle white tea, 1 tsp dried lavender buds, 2 tsp dried rose petals and 1 tsp dried orange blossoms into a small mixing bowl. If using chamomile for extra sweetness, add 1/2 tsp. Gently toss the ingredients together with a spoon to evenly distribute the flowers and tea.
Adjust aroma balance
Smell the combined blend. Lavender is strong—if the scent seems overpowering reduce lavender by 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. If you want more citrus floral notes, increase orange blossoms by 1/2 tsp. Make small adjustments now so steeping yields a balanced cup.
Water & Brewing
Heat the water
Bring fresh filtered water to just under a simmer — about 175°F (80°C). If you don't have a thermometer, heat until steam rises and small bubbles begin to form but before a rolling boil. For this recipe use about 12 oz (350 ml) of water.
Warm the teapot/cup
Pour a small amount of the hot water into your teapot or cup, swirl to warm the vessel, then discard that water. This preserves the delicate temperature during steeping.
Steep the tea
Place the blended tea (approx. all of the mixture measured) into your infuser or directly in the teapot. Pour the 175°F (80°C) water over the tea. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a delicate, floral cup. For a more pronounced floral character, steep up to 5 minutes but check every 30 seconds to avoid bitterness.
Strain and taste
Remove the infuser or strain the tea into a cup to stop extraction. Taste the tea. If desired, sweeten lightly with up to 1 tablespoon honey or agave, stirring until dissolved. Add a lemon slice or an edible flower as a garnish if desired.
Serving & Storage
Serve the White Wedding tea immediately while warm. Sip to appreciate the layered aromas: the delicate white tea body, jasmine top notes, soft rose and orange blossom florals, and the subtle herbaceous hint of lavender.
To prepare multiple cups, scale the ingredients proportionally (4 tsp tea blend per 12 oz water). If storing an unused blended portion, keep it in an airtight container away from light, heat and moisture for up to 4–6 weeks to preserve aroma.
