Cold Coffee Base
Optional Garnish & Variations
Method
Cold Coffee Base
Sweeten and flavor
In a blender, add the cooled coffee, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. The sugar will dissolve better when the coffee is not piping hot.
Blend with ice
Add the ice cubes to the blender. Secure the lid and blend on high for 20–30 seconds, or until the mixture is frothy and smooth and the ice is fully broken down. Taste and adjust sweetness or vanilla to preference.
Serve
Pour the blended cold coffee into a tall glass. If the drink appears thick, you can thin it with an extra splash (1–2 tbsp) of cold milk or coffee.
Optional Garnish & Variations
Top with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and a drizzle (about 1 tsp) of chocolate syrup for a mocha-style finish.
Dust lightly with 1/4 tsp cocoa powder or a pinch of instant coffee for aroma and presentation.
For a flavored variation, stir or blend in 1 tsp flavored syrup (caramel or hazelnut) with the base before serving.
