Tea Blend (per pot)
Optional (for individual cup)
Method
Prepare Water & Teapot
- 1
Heat water
Measure 24 oz (about 700 ml) of filtered water. Bring the water to a near-boil (about 195–205°F / 90–96°C). If you have a variable kettle, set to 200°F (93°C).
- 2
Steep Tea Blend
- 3
Combine teas
Place 1 tsp green tea, 1 tsp chamomile, and 1 tsp black tea into a tea infuser, tea ball, or directly into the teapot (use a fine strainer later if loose). This recipe yields one medium pot (~3 cups).
- 4
Steeping time
Pour the hot water over the tea blend. Steep for 3 minutes. Note: steeping longer will make the black tea more robust and the green tea more bitter; 3 minutes balances the three types. If you prefer a stronger black-tea forward cup, steep 4 minutes; for a lighter, more chamomile-forward brew, steep 2–2.5 minutes.
