Sierra Nevada's take on the hazy IPA pours a cloudy golden orange and has tropical fruit aromas - mango, pineapple, and ripe citrus - that carry onto the palate with impressive sessionability.

In a large mash tun, combine the pale malt, flaked oats, and caramel malt with 6 gallons of water. Heat the mixture to 152°F (67°C) and hold for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water to collect approximately 6 gallons of wort.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil and add Citra hops at the start of the boil. Boil for 60 minutes, adding Mosaic hops with 15 minutes left in the boil and Simcoe hops at flameout.

Boiling

Cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller to a temperature of around 68°F (20°C).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermenter and pitch the yeast. Seal the fermenter and allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks at around 68°F (20°C).

Fermentation

After fermentation, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and allow it to carbonate for 1-2 weeks.
