Torte

Coconut Whipped Cream

Method

Prepare the Torte

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until well combined.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

5

Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6

Cool

Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Coconut Whipped Cream

7

Chill Coconut Cream

Refrigerate the canned coconut cream overnight. This helps the cream separate from the liquid.

8

Whip the Cream

Scoop out the solidified coconut cream into a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and whip with a hand mixer until fluffy.

Serve

9

Assemble the Dessert

Slice the cooled chocolate torte and serve with a generous dollop of coconut whipped cream, topped with fresh berries and mint leaves.
