Method
Spicy Avocado Spread
Prepare avocados
Cut the avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a medium bowl.
Add lime juice immediately to the avocado flesh to prevent browning and to brighten flavor.
Stir in olive oil, minced jalapeño, grated garlic, chopped cilantro, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning — add more lime or salt if needed.
Cover and set aside at room temperature while you toast the bread (or refrigerate briefly if not using within 20 minutes).
Bread & Toasting
Remove toasted bread and keep warm.
Assembly & Toppings
Divide the spicy avocado spread evenly among the toasted slices (about 2 tablespoons per slice if making 4). Use the back of a spoon to spread it to the edges.
Arrange the thinly sliced radishes on top of each toast in an overlapping pattern to cover the surface, leaving some green showing.
Scatter microgreens or cilantro leaves over the radishes for brightness and contrast.
Finish each toast with a light drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, a pinch of flaky sea salt, and a grind of black pepper.
Serve immediately so the toast remains crisp.
