Method

Glass prep & garnish

1

Salt rim

Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass to moisten. Spread the coarse salt on a small plate and press the moistened rim into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.

2

Place a lime wheel or wedge on the rim or in the glass for garnish. Chill the prepared glass if desired.

Cocktail assembly

3

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup).

4

Add 2 oz Cazadores reposado tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.75 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or triple sec), and 0.5 oz agave syrup to the shaker.

5

Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

6

Double-strain (using a fine mesh strainer if available) into the prepared salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or without ice if serving straight up.

7

Garnish with the lime wheel or wedge. Taste and, if needed, add a small splash (about 0.25 oz) of agave syrup to adjust sweetness.
