Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare shaker

Chill a coupe or Nick & Nora glass by filling it with ice and setting aside while you build the cocktail.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Belvedere Vodka, 0.75 oz elderflower liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 2 dashes orange bitters, and 0.5 egg white (if using).

3

Dry shake

If using egg white, secure the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 15–20 seconds to emulsify and create foam. If not using egg white, skip to the next step.

4

Wet shake

Add ice to the shaker (about 3/4 full). Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled (exterior becomes frosty).

5

Double strain

Discard ice from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and, if used, any small egg-white bits.

Garnish & finish

6

Express the grapefruit twist over the cocktail by holding it skin-side down and giving it a firm twist to release oils, then rub it around the rim and drop it into the drink.

7

Optional: float an edible flower or a small sprig of micro basil on the foam for an aromatic, visually striking finish.

8

Serve immediately. The Elvedere Belvi is best enjoyed fresh while the foam is still present and aromatic oils are bright.
