Biscotti and Cream Layer

Method

Preparation and Assembly

1

Make the Biscotti

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract until combined. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients until a dough forms. Shape the dough into a log and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly, then slice into biscotti pieces and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes to crisp up.

2

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

In a shallow dish, combine the espresso and Kahlua. Set aside to cool.

3

Make the Cream Layer

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar until well combined. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.

4

Assemble the Tiramisú

Dip each biscotti piece into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked biscotti in the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the cream layer on top. Repeat with the remaining biscotti and cream layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

5

Serve

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder. Slice and serve chilled.
