Beer

Glass & Garnish (optional)

Method

Chill & Preparation

1

Chill beer

Refrigerate the Modelo Negro for at least 2 hours before serving. For faster chilling, place bottle or can in an ice-water bath for 10–15 minutes.

2

Prepare glass (optional)

If using a glass and you like a salted rim, wet the rim with a lime wedge and dip lightly into salt. Otherwise, ensure the glass is clean and chilled in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes for a cooler pour.

Pouring & Serving

3

Open the bottle or can carefully to avoid agitation. Hold the glass at a 45° angle and begin pouring the beer slowly down the side of the glass.

4

When the glass is roughly half full, tilt it upright and continue pouring into the center to form a 1/2 to 1-inch head (foam). Adjust pour speed to control foam level.

5

If desired, add a lime wedge on the rim or squeeze a small amount of lime into the beer to taste. Serve immediately.

6

If you prefer drinking from the bottle/can, simply chill and open, then drink directly. Do not pour if you want to preserve carbonation and aroma in the original container.

Optional Ice Service

7

If serving over ice (not traditional for Modelo Negro but common in very warm climates), fill a short glass with a few ice cubes, pour beer slowly over the ice, and enjoy. Note that ice will dilute and chill the beer quickly.
