1

Prepare glass

If desired, chill an old-fashioned or rocks glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you assemble the cocktail.

2

Combine ingredients

In a mixing glass or shaker filled with ice, add 2 oz Bearface Triple Oak whisky, 0.5 oz demerara syrup, and 3 dashes of Angostura bitters.

3

Stir

Stir the mixture gently for about 20–30 seconds (15–20 full strokes) until well chilled and slightly diluted. Aim for a silky, slightly viscous texture.

4

Prepare serving glass

Discard the ice used to chill the serving glass (if used). Add one large ice cube or a few chilled ice cubes to the glass.

5

Strain

Strain the stirred cocktail into the prepared glass over the large ice cube.

6

Garnish

Express the oils of an orange twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down and pinching it briefly above the surface, then rub the peel around the rim and drop it into the glass. Optionally garnish with a Luxardo or maraschino cherry.

7

Serve

Serve immediately. Sip slowly to appreciate the triple-oaked whisky's layered oak and caramel notes balanced by the rich demerara syrup and bitters.
