Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Prepare the glass

If you want a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the outside edge of the glass (or the rim), then press the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt. Set the glass aside.

2

Measure all cocktail ingredients using a jigger: 2 oz tequila, 1 oz orange curaçao, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup.

Build & Shake

3

Add ice to the cocktail shaker until it is about two-thirds full.

4

Pour in the measured tequila, orange curaçao, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup into the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted. This chills and slightly dilutes the drink for balance.

Strain & Serve

6

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice (if serving on the rocks) or leave it dry for a straight-up/coupe presentation.

7

Double-strain the cocktail from the shaker into the glass using the shaker’s strainer and a fine strainer (optional) to catch small ice shards and lime pulp.

8

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
