Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare and measure

Chill a coupe or martini glass by placing it in the freezer or filling with ice water while you prepare the drink.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add vodka (2 oz), lychee liqueur (0.5 oz), orange liqueur (0.25 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), cranberry juice (0.75 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz) if you prefer a slightly sweeter profile. If using egg white for a silky texture, add 0.5 oz now.

3

Dry shake (if using egg white)

If you added egg white, close the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 10–15 seconds to emulsify and build foam.

4

Wet shake

Add the ice to the shaker (about 6 cubes). Shake hard for 12–18 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold (this chills and dilutes appropriately).

5

Strain

Discard the ice/water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any small bits from the egg white.

Garnish & Finish

6

Skewer the pitted lychee on a small cocktail pick and place it across the rim or rest it inside the glass. Express a lime twist over the surface to release citrus oils, then drop or rest the twist on the rim. Optionally, float a single edible flower petal on the foam or surface for a luminous, floral presentation.

7

Serve immediately while cold. Recommend serving as an elegant aperitif or sips course to showcase the lychee's floral sweetness against citrus and crisp vodka.
