Berry-Mint Base
Passionfruit-Vanilla Mixer
Finish & Garnish
Method
Berry-Mint Base
- 1
Muddle
Place 1 cup mixed berries, 8 fresh mint leaves, and 1 tsp granulated sugar in a cocktail shaker or a sturdy jar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently mash until berries break down and mint releases aroma (about 20–30 seconds).
- 2
Add 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to the muddled berries and briefly stir to combine. This brightens the fruit and helps balance sweetness.
Passionfruit-Vanilla Mixer
- 3
Add 2 tablespoons passionfruit pulp and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the shaker with the muddled berry-mint mixture.
- 4
Pour in 1 cup cold water or sparkling water. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add the optional 1 teaspoon simple syrup now. Secure the shaker lid.
- 5
Shake
Fill the shaker with 1 cup ice cubes, then shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until chilled and slightly frothy. If you used sparkling water and prefer less fizz, stir gently instead of shaking.
Finish & Serve
- 6
Double-strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a chilled tall glass filled with fresh ice to remove seeds and mint bits (use a cocktail strainer and a fine sieve for best clarity).
- 7
Garnish with 2 mint sprigs and 1 lemon wheel or twist. Taste and adjust sweetness with up to 1 tsp additional simple syrup if desired.
- 8
Serve immediately. Optionally, top with a splash (1–2 tbsp) extra sparkling water for extra effervescence.
