Spritz Mix
Garnish & Serve
Method
Prepare & Build
- 1
Chill glass
If possible, chill a large wine glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you gather ingredients to ensure the drink stays cold.
- 2
Fill glass with ice
Fill the chilled wine glass about three-quarters full with large ice cubes. Large cubes melt slower and keep the spritz balanced.
- 3
Add Aperol
Measure and pour 3 tablespoons (about 1.5 oz) of Aperol over the ice. The Aperol goes in first so it mixes gently as you add the other components.
- 4
Add Prosecco
Slowly pour 3 ounces of chilled prosecco into the glass. Pour gently down the side or over the back of a spoon to preserve carbonation and encourage a layered look.
- 5
Top with soda
Add 1 ounce of chilled club soda (or sparkling water) to the glass. Pour gently to maintain bubbles. Adjust quantity slightly to taste for a drier or more diluted spritz.
- 6
Gentle stir
Give the drink one or two gentle short stirs with a bar spoon to integrate the Aperol, prosecco, and soda without losing too much effervescence.
- 7
Garnish & serve
Garnish with one fresh orange slice placed on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
