Pasta and Marinara Sauce
Method
Cooking Instructions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta of your choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Once the sauce has thickened slightly, add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
Add Optional Meat
If desired, add the meatballs or sausage to the skillet and heat through for a few minutes.
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese to taste.
