broiled tilapia, crab, mushrooms, white wine cream sauce, seasonal accompaniments
In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, sauté until translucent.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until soft. Then, pour in the white wine and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
While the sauce is simmering, preheat the broiler. Place the tilapia fillets on a baking sheet and brush with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Season with salt and black pepper.
Broil the tilapia for about 5-7 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
Remove the fish from the oven, top with the crab meat, and then spoon the white wine cream sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
