Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice and top with 2 oz club soda.

Notes on customizing well cocktails
Well spirits are the house spirits behind the bar. The recipes above assume vodka as the well spirit and a 3 oz house double/highball pour. To use a different well spirit, substitute gin, rum or tequila in equal measure and adjust mixers (for example, rum + cola works as a Cuba Libre when served with lime; gin + soda with a lemon twist makes a Gin Highball).
Adjust sweetness and strength to taste: reduce base spirit to 2 oz for a lighter drink, increase simple syrup to 0.75 oz for more sweetness, or use a single (1.5 oz) well pour for standard cocktails.
