Preparation

1

Prepare Espresso

Brew a shot of fresh espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, Aeropress, etc.). Set aside to cool slightly.

2

Make Demerara Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts demerara sugar and water. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Allow to cool.

Mixing

3

Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of espresso infused vodka, 0.5 oz of Licor 43, 0.5 tsp of vanilla extract, 2 dashes of black walnut bitters, and 0.5 oz of demerara sugar syrup.

4

Add Espresso

Pour the cooled espresso (1 oz) into the cocktail shaker with the other ingredients.

5

Shake

Fill the shaker with ice, then shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

6

Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. Optionally, rim the glass with lava salt for a unique touch.

7

Garnish

Garnish with a few coffee beans on top for an elegant presentation.
