Prepare the Carne Asada

Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Add Steak to Marinade
Place the flank steak in the marinade and ensure it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

Slice the Steak
Slice the grilled flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
Make the Salsa Verde

Cook Tomatillos
In a pot, add quartered tomatillos, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until soft.

Assemble the Tacos

Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Fill the Tacos
Place a generous amount of sliced carne asada in the center of each tortilla.

Add Toppings
Top each taco with diced red onion and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Serve the tacos warm with salsa verde on the side for dipping.
