Method
Jalapeno Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Jalapenos
Preheat your oven's broiler. Carefully slice each jalapeno pepper in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and membranes, making sure to wear gloves to protect your hands from the heat. Set the jalapenos aside.
Cream Cheese Filling
- 2
Make the Cream Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well blended and creamy.
Stuffing and Wrapping
- 3
Stuff the Jalapenos
Using a spoon or a piping bag, carefully fill each hollowed jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring they are generously filled.
- 4
Wrap with Bacon
Take a strip of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeno half, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed.
Cooking
- 5
Broil the Stuffed Jalapenos
Place the wrapped jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Broil them in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapenos are tender. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
