Method

Preparation of the Skewers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes. Slice the red onion, white onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper into 1-inch pieces.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the steak cubes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the steak evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Skewers

Thread the marinated steak and the vegetable pieces onto the skewers, alternating between steak and vegetables. Each skewer should have an even distribution of steak and veggies.

Preparation of the Tatanka Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.

  2. 5

    Cook the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Grilling the Skewers

  1. 6

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Grill the Skewers

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

  3. 8

    Serve the Skewers

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm with the Tatanka sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
