Cooking Shrimp

Prepare the Cooking Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water to enhance the flavor of the shrimp.

Cook the Shrimp
Once the water is boiling, add the 12 pieces of large shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

Making Avocado Sauce

Combine Ingredients
Add 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice, 1 minced garlic clove, 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the bowl with the avocado.

Blend the Sauce
Use a fork or a blender to mash and mix the ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
Serving

Plate the Shrimp Cocktail
Arrange the cooled shrimp on a serving platter and dollop the avocado sauce on top or serve it on the side for dipping.

Garnish and Serve
Optionally, garnish with additional chopped cilantro or lime wedges. Serve immediately and enjoy your shrimp cocktail!
