Chop the Jalapeno
Remove the stem from the jalapeno pepper, slice it in half, and remove the seeds if you prefer less heat. Finely chop the jalapeno and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine the Monterrey Jack cheese, heavy cream, and cream cheese over medium-low heat. Stir frequently until everything is melted and well combined.

Add Vegetables and Spices
Once the cheese mixture is smooth and creamy, add the canned green chiles, chopped jalapeno, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Simmer the Queso
Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it is heated through and the flavors meld together.

Remove the queso blanco from heat, and stir in the chopped cilantro. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, nachos, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
