Churro Dough Preparation

Make the Dough
In a medium saucepan, combine water, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Add Flour
Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the all-purpose flour until fully combined. The mixture should form a ball.

Cool Down
Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

Pipe the Dough
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough directly into the hot oil.

Fry Until Golden
Fry churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Sugar Coating

Mix Sugar and Cinnamon
In a shallow bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

Heat Cream
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

Melt Chocolate
Remove from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and fully melted. Add vanilla extract.
Serving

Serve churros warm with the chocolate syrup on the side for dipping.
