Chill
Chill the hard seltzer can and vodka in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before preparing. Cold ingredients keep the drink bright and fizzy.
Measure and combine
Pour 1.5 fl oz chilled vodka over the ice, then add 0.5 fl oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 fl oz simple syrup (or agave). These amounts provide a balanced brightness and light sweetness to complement the seltzer.
Finish and garnish
If using, add 1 dash of bitters on top to add aromatic depth. Gently stir once with a bar spoon (2–3 slow turns) to incorporate vodka and lime without flattening the seltzer. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.
