Tuna Preparation

Prepare the Tuna
Dice the fresh tuna into small cubes (about 1/4 inch).

Marinate the Tuna
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tuna with lime juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, finely chopped chives, salt, and black pepper. Gently toss to combine, ensuring the tuna is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes to marinate.

Season the Avocado
Add lime juice and salt to the mashed avocado. Mix gently to combine and adjust seasoning to taste.
Assembly and Garnish

Assemble the Tartare
On a serving plate, use a ring mold or simply spoon the marinated tuna mixture into the center. Press down gently to compact.

Add the Avocado
Spoon the seasoned avocado around the base of the tuna tartare or on top, as desired.

Garnish the Dish
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the tuna tartare and add microgreens or fresh cilantro for garnish.

Serve immediately with tortilla chips or crackers, if desired.
