Build and shake
Add the reposado tequila (2 oz), Cointreau (1 oz), fresh lime juice (1.25 oz), agave syrup (0.5 oz), and fresh orange juice (0.5 oz) into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker feels very cold.
Strain and finish
Double-strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared 18 oz. glass over the large ice to keep the drink clear and remove small ice chips. If desired, float a thin orange wheel or twist on top for added aroma.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish the rim with a lime wheel on the glass edge and add the dehydrated orange wheel or twist if using. Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick. Provide a napkin for the salted rim.
