Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare glass
Select a large wine glass or an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with ice to thoroughly chill the glass.
- 2
Add Campari
Pour 2 fl oz of Campari over the ice. Let it settle for a few seconds so the spirit chills against the ice.
- 3
Top with Prosecco
Slowly pour 3 fl oz of chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pour gently down the side or over the back of a spoon to preserve bubbles and encourage a layered appearance.
- 4
Finish with sparkling water
Add 1 fl oz of chilled sparkling water to the top to lighten the drink and adjust the bitterness. Stir gently once with a bar spoon (one or two slow rotations) to combine without flattening the bubbles.
- 5
Garnish and serve
Garnish with one fresh orange slice placed on the rim or floated on top. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
- 6
Optional adjustments: For a slightly sweeter spritz, increase Prosecco to 4 fl oz and reduce sparkling water to 0.5 fl oz. For a lower-alcohol version, reduce Campari to 1.5 fl oz and increase sparkling water to 2 fl oz.
