Prepare garnish
Drain one canned lychee from its syrup, reserve a small spoonful of the syrup if you want a touch more sweetness later. If using a lime twist, cut a thin strip of lime peel and set aside.
Shake & Serve
- 3
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of ice, 2 oz True Theory Vodka, 1 oz Soho Lychee Liqueur, 1 oz lychee juice, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 tsp simple syrup if using. The ice volume can be adjusted so the shaker is roughly two-thirds full.
- 4
Shake
Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes very cold and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.
- 5
Strain
Discard the ice or water from the chilled martini glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, optionally, a fine mesh strainer to catch any small ice chips or pulp for a silky finish.
- 6
Garnish & Finish
Skewer the drained canned lychee on a cocktail pick and place it in the glass, or drop the lychee into the drink. Optionally express the lime twist over the drink to release oils and drop it in or rest it on the rim.
