Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

  2. 2

    Measure ingredients

Measure 2 oz True Theory Vodka, 0.75 oz Cointreau, 1 oz cranberry juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional) into a cocktail shaker.

  3. 3

    Add ice and shake

Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Seal and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold and creates a slight frost on the outside.

  4. 4

    Prepare glass

If you used ice water to chill the glass, discard it now.

  5. 5

    Double strain and serve

Open the shaker and strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (and the shaker strainer if available) into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Express the oils of a lime twist over the surface of the drink by holding the twist over the glass and giving it a quick bend, then drop it into the cocktail or float a lime wheel on the rim.

  7. 7

    Optional adjustments

Taste once. If the drink tastes too tart, add another 0.25 oz simple syrup and gently stir. If too sweet, add 0.25 oz more lime juice and lightly stir. Re-strain if you add more liquid and serve immediately.
