Ingredients for Bahamas Roll

Method

Preparation Steps for Bahamas Roll

1

Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly and season with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.

2

Prepare the Fillings

Peel and slice the mango and avocado into thin strips. Julienne the cucumber.

3

Assemble the Roll

Place a bamboo sushi mat on a flat surface. Lay a sheet of nori on the mat, shiny side down. Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about an inch at the top free of rice.

4

Add Fillings

In the center of the rice, place strips of mango, avocado, cucumber, and crab meat. Add a small strip of cream cheese for creaminess.

5

Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, carefully lift the edge of the mat closest to you and start rolling away from you, applying gentle pressure to form a tight roll. Roll until you reach the edge of the nori, wet the edge with a little water to seal it.

6

Slice the Roll

Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into bite-sized pieces. Wipe the knife with a damp cloth between cuts to ensure clean slices.

7

Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side.
