Method
Brownie Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Cut
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the Brownies
Place a square of brownie on a plate. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce to taste.
