Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín to coat. Set glass aside.
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker add 2 oz lunazul blanco tequila, 1 oz Monin watermelon syrup, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz triple sec, and 0.25 oz agave nectar if you prefer it sweeter.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 4 oz or enough to nearly fill). Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and the exterior is frosty.
Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and a small watermelon wedge or wheel on a cocktail pick.
Optional Upgrade
To use Don Julio Blanco instead of Lunazul: substitute 2 oz Don Julio Blanco for the 2 oz Lunazul (apply additional charge). To offer it as an add-on rather than a straight substitution, add 2 oz Don Julio Blanco on top of the recipe and reduce lunazul by staff instruction; note that adding both will increase alcohol volume and change balance—adjust Monin watermelon or agave slightly if needed.
