Method

Prepare the Patties

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Bacon

3

Fry Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Patties

4

Grill or Fry Patties

In the same skillet or grill, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

5

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Prepare the Buns

6

Toast Buns

Spread butter on the cut sides of the burger buns and toast them on a skillet or grill until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger

7

Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, sliced tomato, pickles, and onion.

8

Add Condiments

Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
