Brewed with a blend of premium hops and a touch of caramel malt, this American Pale Ale offers a smooth, crisp finish that will invigorate your taste buds. Start by heating 5 gallons of water to around 165°F (74°C). Add the 2-row pale malt and crystal malt to the water and maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water (around 170°F or 77°C) to collect around 6.5 gallons of wort.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add Cascade hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add Centennial hops with 15 minutes left in the boil and East Kent Goldings hops in the last 5 minutes.

Boiling

Cool the wort rapidly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the American Ale yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks at around 68-72°F (20-22°C).

Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, prepare a sugar solution with priming sugar and water. Add this to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and cap it, allowing it to carbonate for another 1-2 weeks at room temperature.
