Prepare the romaine
Rinse the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Spin or pat dry completely to remove excess moisture. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
Dress the greens
Place the chopped romaine in a large mixing bowl. Add Caesar dressing and toss vigorously with tongs or two forks until every leaf is lightly coated.
Add parmesan
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the dressed greens and toss gently to evenly distribute the cheese without bruising the leaves.
Add croutons
Fold in the croutons so they stay crisp and mixed throughout the salad.
Season to taste
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Give the salad a final, gentle toss to integrate the seasonings.
Serve
Transfer the salad to small plates for serving. Serve immediately to maintain crispness.
