Method
Cake Directions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the cake.
Prepare Cake Pans
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans, ensuring they are ready for the batter.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add Boiling Water
Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is well blended; it will be thin.
Bake the Cakes
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool the Cakes
Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
